Titans to Wear Oilers Throwback Uniforms vs. Atlanta and Houston

Former Oilers Thrilled About It

HOUSTON, TX - The Tennessee Titans will wear Oilers throwback uniforms for two games this season, against the Atlanta Falcons on October 23 and the Houston Texans on November 27. The move is a nod to the Oilers' history in both cities, and former Oilers players are thrilled about it.

"It's going to be great to see the Oilers back on the field," said Earl Campbell, who played for the Oilers from 1978 to 1984. "It's going to bring back a lot of memories."

The Oilers were founded in 1960 as a member of the American Football League (AFL). They won the AFL championship in 1960 and 1961, and joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. The Oilers played in Houston until 1997, when they moved to Tennessee and became the Titans.

The Oilers' throwback uniforms will be similar to the ones they wore from 1975 to 1996. The uniforms will be navy blue with light blue and red accents. The Oilers' logo will be on the helmet, and the players will wear white pants.

The Titans are hoping that the throwback uniforms will help them to rally around their history and play with more passion and intensity. The Titans are 0-2 this season, and they are hoping to turn things around with the help of their new uniforms.
